Due to the highly spontaneous nature of the adventure, I suggest any interested alpinists, ski-mountaineers and expeditioners contact me to put together a customised trip. I have the relevant experience, skills and contacts to pull this off. Kun is one of the most beautiful peaks I have climbed. The approach, the ascent, the camps, the views; everything about the peak is simply stunning. Being a 7000+ peak makes it one of the most coveted ultra high mountains. I intend for this to be a three to four week excursion,and i believe June is the best time to try a mountaineering expedition cum ski descent. As stated above, please contact me for more info about the appropriate mountaineering equipment, ski kit, permits (especially non Indians), preparations and other nitty-gritties. Between June and September is probably the best time to embark on this Expedition.

Introduction to Mountaineering

Most mountain schools in India have a month long curriculum, which while highly recommended is unfortunately too long. For those who intend to explore the himalayas, learn the ropes in the process and climb a high mountain during the course of events; all in a short space of about two weeks, my "Introduction to Mountaineering" programme comes highly recommended. Participants will learn rope work, rock, snow and ice skills, get acquainted with and use mountaineering equipment and apparel, acquire a wealth of knowledge and practical skills and also climb a high peak (possibly 6000+) towards the end of the course, all in two weeks or less. Basic & Expert Skiing Instructions

Basic Skiing instruction, in the beautiful mountains of Kashmir, in a safe secure ski resort. At the end of the week, skiers will be acquainted with snow ploughing, side stepping, side slipping, stemming and basic christie. We will also touch upon mountain manners and skiing etiquette from time to time. Our approach to instruction is very scientific. We cover the theory behind any technique before practicing the skill. The progression between skills would be seemless and logical. The experience would be wholesome and rewarding. Everyday we will discuss the skills that are to be covered the following day. And every evening we would debrief every individual about their technique, errors and suggest corrections using video footage.
